Part of our Code of Honor here at PTM & MTI is, “Never abandon a teammate and it’s ok to ask for help”, but that is not why the Giving Tree was started. It began because we are like a huge family here and whenever we can help, we pull together and get it done!
There are always families who cannot afford to provide the necessities at Christmas for one reason or another, and it is a very painful time of year to be in this position, hence the tradition of The Giving Tree.
Families needing help make a list including eight items of need and at least three items of wants for each of their children and supply this to our HR department. The information is compiled, and The Giving Tree set up! Tags are placed on the tree, so associates can help by donating these items or cash, so whatever is missing can be purchased.
The families are given everything along with the wrapping paper and supplies to make their Christmas bright! This year as a result of the caring associates and management of our companies, seven families and ten children will have everything they need to celebrate Christmas.
PTM & MTI would like to thank everyone who donated their time, efforts and financial support to The Giving Tree and wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
