On November 7, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan, Donna Russell-Kuhr will be honored as the first woman to receive the Award for MFG Woman of the Year.  Donna Russell-Kuhr is receiving this award at the annual MFG Excellence Awards Gala. This is Michigan’s top statewide event that recognizes the inspiring stories, people, companies and products which make up its manufacturing industry.

“Manufacturers do more than just make a product. They create something out of nothing, innovate, inspire, employ our people and invest in our communities”, said Chuck Hadden, MMA president, and CEO. “Michigan would be a far less exciting place without manufacturers and the MFG Excellence Awards is our chance to thank them, to celebrate them and to honor the hard work they do every day.”

“Right now, in manufacturing, there are incredible women in positions of leadership who are role models to young people and examples of what is possible when you chase after your dreams,” said Chuck Hadden President & CEO of the Michigan Manufacturers Association. “This year, we added the MFG Woman of the Year Award as a way to raise awareness of women in manufacturing so that future leaders might follow in their footsteps.”  MMA does not judge the nominations, they have an independent panel of judges from across the industry who scores the nominations.  Donna was selected from several qualified, exemplary individuals by an independent panel of judges.
